Airtech Instrument Co

This is a small sample of previous projects we have had the honor of working on that have received public recognition. It gives us great pride to have taken part in the restoration of these aircraft.

Clipper Flying Cloud

Our work on the instrumentation of a unique 6-year restoration project, the Boeing S-307 Stratoliner, is on permanent display at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Washington, D.C. The Clipper Flying Cloud is the one surviving example of this aircraft.

The Lovable One-Niner

Minard D. Thompson, Jr. is a friend and the former owner of a Cessna L-19 Birddog, winner of the Oshkosh Grand Champion Warbird trophy and Snap-On Golden Wrench Award in Oshkosh in 1996. Airtech restored all of the instrumentation on this award-winning plane during the 10-year restoration project. Minard went on to write The Loveable One-Niner, the largest single known source of Birddog history in the world.
